Over the last 10 years of estate agency, I had built up a great knowledge of the industry but had always wanted to sit the other side of the desk and I had an amazing database of local builders and national developers, so I saw my opportunity and set up my own land and development company. Although the first couple of years were tough, I found working with and selling for national home builders like St George, Berkley and Crest Nicholson gave me an incredible insight to how all types of properties are built, what the costs are and of course were problems lie. I dealt with and sold land all over London, Surrey and Middlsex from 2007 to 2014, running a successful and profitable land and new homes company but the pressure and stress had taken its toll on both my physical and mental health so in late 2014 I took a break.
